Summary of position:

The Assistant Director of Human Resources under the leadership of the Director of Human Resources will partner with leadership to manage, administer and implement HR programs and services to ensure effective and efficient practices to support a mission-driven and highly engaged work environment. This individual will assess organizational needs and partner with the Human Resources (HR) team to develop and implement people processes for the organization; including performance and talent management processes, compensation and benefits, employee relations resolution, employee engagement, retention, change management and implementation of organization wide initiatives aligned to assigned departments (US & Internationally).

Experience & Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or Organization Development.
  • Seven plus years of progressive leadership experience in an international / non-for-profit environment
  • Proven record of accomplishment in assessing, designing and delivering training programs.
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety and training and development.
  • Above average oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction.
  • Evidence of the practice of high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills

Education Licenses and/or Certifications etc.:

SPHR preferred / PHR required
