Status: Part-Time, hourly
Schedule: Business hours are 8:30 – 4:30 p.m. Central Time. The Receptionist is scheduled to work 20 hours per week. Must be able to work 8:30am-4:30pm for the first two weeks as part of training. This position may also need to work beyone 20 hours occassionally due to seasonal and/or coverage needs.

Summary of position:

The Receptionist/Production Assistant works as part of a 4 person office services team (Office manager, Production Coordinator, and Part-Time Production Assistant to support a 31,000 sq. ft. office of 100+ employees. This position often provides a first impression of the organization by answering phones, greeting visitors and vendors, and providing administrative support to help keep this bust office running smoothly. In addition to reception duties, administrative duties include monitoring and distributing incoming faxes electronically; receiving and processing incoming mail and express packages; assisting with large mailings; coordinating both outgoing and receiving incoming messenger shipments; coding vendor invoices for payment; and other general office duties further described below. The Receptionist must be consistent with his/her adherence to the work schedule set by the Office Manager as he/she provides critical coverage for an active switchboard with set hours of operation.

• Strong verbal communications skills. (Phone & in-person)
• Creative and independent problem solving skills
• Excellent detail and organizational skills
• Ability to learn quickly and handle projects independently
• Must be courteous, professional, helpful, and able to work well under pressure

Experience & Qualifications/Skills:

• At least three years office/switchboard experience
• Some computer aptitude skills (Internet, Microsoft Office) helpful
• Exceptional team player: proactive and responsible, with the ability to assimilate and manage information rapidly from multiple information sources

Education, Licenses and/or Certifications etc:
• A high school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
